A fractional general counsel is a senior lawyer who acts as your company's in-house counsel on a part-time basis. You get the judgment and availability of a seasoned general counsel — handling contracts, employment, corporate, and day-to-day legal questions — without the cost of a full-time hire. How is YFGC.AI different from a traditional law firm?
Traditional firms bill by the hour in six-minute increments and pass junior-associate time on to you. YFGC.AI sells blocks of senior-attorney hours at a flat, transparent rate, uses AI to do the work faster, and passes the savings on. A real, senior New York attorney reviews and stands behind every matter — the AI accelerates the work, it does not replace the lawyer.
How much does it cost?
YFGC.AI offers three prepaid hour packages: 5 hours at $525/hr ($2,625), 10 hours at $475/hr ($4,750), and 20 hours at $400/hr ($8,000). Hours never expire. Simple, AI-assisted matters such as a standard NDA are billed at a flat 12 minutes of lawyer time — roughly $80 to $105 depending on your package.
What kind of legal work does YFGC.AI handle?
Business and corporate law for startups and growing companies: entity formation and governance, fundraising and equity, commercial contracts (NDAs, vendor and customer agreements, SaaS, MSAs, SOWs, licensing), employment matters, and commercial litigation and disputes.
What if my legal matter is outside your practice areas?
YFGC.AI focuses on business law and does not handle criminal, family, immigration, personal injury, estate planning, or similar personal matters. If your matter falls outside our scope, we point you to LawyerLoop AI, our sister network that matches you with the right AI-powered lawyer for any practice area.
Do the hours expire?
No. Prepaid hours never expire — use them whenever you need legal help. If your balance runs low and you choose not to refresh, unbilled time is simply billed at our standard rate of $595/hr, and we always give you advance notice before that applies.
